The Journal of Fandom Studies is well into its third year of publication and the Fan Culture and Theory area of the Popular Culture Association just off another record breaking year of participation and attendance at its national conference in New Orleans. At that conference a special session on the Journal met to discuss what we wanted to see both from the journal and the field going forward. That conversation was informative, energizing, thought provoking. What you’ll see here and in the journal over the coming weeks, months, year will be, I hope, a response to those stimulating conversations.
For now however, please enjoy the latest issue of the journal (3.1) – a special issue on K-Pop and the Korean Wave. And, if you have never seen our journal before, issue 2.1 is currently available for free here.
